What is it all about?
People tend to think of the cello as an instrument of sweeping melodies and heartstring-tugging emotion. And while that’s true, I’ve always felt it could be so much more.
When a producer asked what a percussion sample pack made entirely of cello would sound like, I couldn’t resist the challenge. I hit, plucked, bowed, and experimented with my cello to capture a range of textures and tones. Weeks of collaboration with producers in folk, indie, and pop led to With Feeling—a meticulously crafted collection of sounds designed to:
